Our goal is to remove partially (biopsy) or in totality lesions of the oral cavity and oral and maxillofacial complex to allow appropriate histopathological (microscopical) analysis by a pathologist.
Pathological lesions can present at the level of the soft tissues (lips, check, tongue, palate….) or hard tissues (bones of jaws).
Most of the procedures are performed under local anesthesia or sedation, however, larger lesions may necessitate treatment in an operating room within a hospital setting under general anesthesia (Hôpital Pierre-Le Gardeur).
