Maxillofacial trauma surgery comprises treatment of all types of fractures involving the bones of the face, as well as the repair of lacerations inside as well as outside the mouth.
Depending on the gravity of the injuries, the treatments may be undertaken either in a clinical or hospital setting. Most of the time, however, treatments are performed under general anesthesia at the Hôpital Pierre-Le Gardeur.
